Mischa Aravena was born in Santiago, Chile. At the age of five, his parents moved to Toronto, Canada to explore new opportunities. When Mischa was twelve, his love for the theatre emerged as he participated in high school plays and became an active member of Burlington Student Theatre.

After high school, Mischa attended one of Canada’s well-known drama programs at the University of Windsor where he completed a B.F.A. in Acting. He continued to perform locally in a range of musical and theatrical productions such as Evita and the dark drama of Ariel Dorfman’s Death and a Maiden.

Mischa wished to continue to grow his capacity as an actor and was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Houston where he received his M.F.A in Acting. In the United States, Mischa performed in various international festivals including the Texas Shakespeare Festival and the Hope Repertory Theatre in Michigan. Also, he has performed in ten different Disney productions.

Mischa has written his own one man show called, ‘Will Act for Food,’ based on the life of famous B movie legend Bruce Campbell. He even emailed Bruce about the play who responded congratulating him by saying, ''Good Stuff!''

Art and performing are a driving force for Mischa. He believes the arts speak to the human soul. He shares the sentiments of the English playwright, David Edgar, when he wrote that the arts “can widen horizons, expand perceptions, question presumptions, and encourage empathy as well as pleasure and delight.” Mischa hopes to continue acting, teaching, and making art as he believes it is an absolute necessity for this world.

In his spare time, Mischa loves sharing time with friends and family, watching NBA basketball, and travelling.
